eLuaBox Field App Engine

OVERVIEW

The eLuaBox Field App Engine is a field-deployable measurement and control module that is programmed using the Lua Programming Language. eLuaBox is self-contained and measures physical conditions, controls equipment, and manages in-field processes. User-defined Lua script defines the configuration and sequence of events. Communication is provided over Wi-Fi using a variety of standard protocols. eLuaBox works with iLuaBox for iOS and mLuaBox for OS X using the new eLuaBox Toolbox.

High-Performance

At the heart of eLuaBox is a low-power, high-performance MCU built on the ARM® Cortex™-M architecture. It is designed for scalable performance, integration, connectivity, communications, HMI and security. The MCU features exceptional integration with fast analog-to-digital converters (ADC), digital-to-analog converters (DAC) and programmable-gain amplifier (PGA), along with powerful, cost-effective signal conversion, conditioning and control.

Lua 5.2 Programming Language

Lua is a powerful, fast, lightweight, embeddable scripting language. It combines simple procedural syntax with powerful data description constructs based on associative arrays and extensible semantics. Lua has been used in many industrial applications, with an emphasis on embedded systems and games. The language features mathematical functions, coroutines, string and table manipulation, bitwise operations, and more. Lua 5.2 is the same version used in iLuaBox for iOS and mLuaBox for OS X.

Compatible with iLuaBox for iOS and mLuaBox for OS X

eLuaBox works with iLuaBox for iOS and mLuaBox for OS X using the new eLuaBox Toolbox, which is an expansion library for both systems. Users can write and test code in iLuaBox and mLuaBox, then download to eLuaBox for in-field testing and execution. eLuaBox data is always available for transfer and analysis.

Wireless Communication over Wi-Fi

Built-in 802.11b low power consumption Wi-Fi connectivity provides a direct link to the explosion of emerging Internet of Things applications. The included set of standard Internet and industrial communication protocols satisfies the most demanding interface requirements.
